Idris and beauty queen lover... 16 years his junior
HE has been touted as the next James Bond. And if Idris Elba’s relationship history is anything to go by, he certainly has 007’s way with the ladies.
The Luther star, 45, had his latest lover, Sabrina Dhowre, in tow as he attended the premiere of his movie, The Mountain Between Us, at the Toronto Film Festival.
At 29, Miss Dhowre, a former Miss Vancouver, is 16 years younger than Elba, whom she has reportedly been dating for seven months.
It is his first long-term relationship since he split from make-up artist Naiyana Garth, the mother of his three-yearold son, last year – days after he was pictured enjoying a night out with supermodel Naomi Campbell.
An American rapper, K Michelle, claimed Elba had cheated on Miss Garth with her during an eight-month fling. Elba has also been married twice. In 1999, he wed make-up artist Hanne Norgaard, with whom he has a teenager daughter.
But they split after four years when she did not adjust to life in the US, where Elba was starring in The Wire.
He then married property lawyer Sonya Hamlin in 2006, but they separated after a few months. Elba then dated pole dancer Desiree Newberry. After four years she had a son but the London-born actor became suspicious when the boy did not resemble him, and a paternity test subsequently revealed he was not the father.
