TIM VINE (pictured), whose act includes the rapid delivery of sharp one-liners, is back with a new series of THE TIM VINE CHAT SHOW (RADIO 4, 6.30PM), in which he will travel round Britain, meeting people and collecting their stories. This opening episode finds him in London, meeting a man who has come up with a useful technique to keep the capital’s increasingly bold fox population at bay.
THE dramatic sound of Also Sprach Zarathustra, the Strauss work used to such great effect in Stanley Kubrick’s film 2001: A Space Odyssey, is on the bill for tonight’s RADIO 3 IN CONCERT (7.30PM), given by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra as part of the Edinburgh International Festival.
