A town abandoned

WHY should the residents of the lovely town of Cromer be left undefended because of police cuts and political correctness (Mail)?

My daughter and her colleagues were barricaded in their offices for a day because the police didn’t attend after travellers took over their car park, damaged the vehicles and let children run riot in the building.

When will someone in authority have the guts to do something about such incidents? ANDREW NyE, Dunstable, Beds. IT’S disgraceful that police stood by when travellers rampaged through Cromer and then had the gall to dismiss the incident as merely ‘lowlevel disturbances’.

The chief constable should receive a public reprimand as a warning to other highly paid, high-ranking police officers who fail to do their duty. Name and address supplied.
