Not so cheap labour

-

I UNDERSTAND the attractiveness of cheap immigrant labour to our business leaders, as it keeps their wage bill down and so increases profits. The downside is the rest of us pay for it with a crisis in housing, schools, the NHS and congested roads.

If business had to pick up the other costs of ‘cheap’ labour, it would not be as attractive. BARRY GEE, Wokingham, Berks.
