In-tune Chigwell beat sister act

ChIGWeLL’S Maura Folan and Carole Piper produced one of the shock results of the Daily Mail Foursomes, clinching a narrow win at Muswell hill to beat experienced sisters Tara Watters and Mandy Miller for a coveted spot in the finals. Watters, off scratch, is a former england international and two-time runner-up in the english Amateur Match Play Championship. Chigwell held off a final fightback, scraping a half at the last to triumph one up. A delighted Folan, 69, said: ‘Tara was brilliant to watch and her sister was a very good golfer too, compared to us. ‘I wouldn’t want to do this for a living though,’ she added, ‘my heart was pumping.’
