GAME SHOW RETURNS Taskmaster, 9pm, Dave

THE celebrity panel show returns on top form, and the first challenge for a new batch of comics — including Bob Mortimer, Sally Phillips and Aisling Bea — is to give Alex Horne a ‘special cuddle’. Horne (pictured right, with co-host Greg Davies) is usually on the receiving end of far less agreeable suggestion­s, but some interpreta­tions of ‘cuddle’ here aren’t exactly

AT THE start of a new series for Quest’s popular antiques hunt, Drew Pritchard finds a valuable Howard card table in a most unexpected place. He also visits a dealer with a brilliant name — Streett Marburg — who has some high-end pieces for sale.

REAL EMERGENCIE­S 999: On The Frontline, 9pm, More4

THIS new series following the West Midlands Ambulance Service runs the gamut of emotions, and opens with cardiac arrests at each end of the age spectrum. In between, there is jollity from the crews — Ally and Rob hum the Casualty theme on the way to a call.

FINAL SERIES BEGINS Stella, 9pm, Sky 1

RUTH JONES’S comedy drama returns for a final series, and Michael receives a great opportunit­y — but it involves leaving Pontyberry, and Stella can’t bear it. There’s still charm in this series and, hopefully, the theme of this opener — moving on — will take the characters somewhere interestin­g.

COMEDY STAGE SHOW Monty Python: The Meaning Of Live, 9.40pm, Yesterday

THE Freeview premiere for a documentar­y filmed before and during the Pythons’ big run at the O2 in London. It has a relaxed feel as they discuss the reason for the show — money to pay for a lawsuit related to The Holy Grail, and for Terry Jones’s mortgage . . .
