It’s Real easy for Ronaldo

-

CRISTIANO RONALDO scored twice as Real Madrid overcame APOEL in a 3-0 victory in Group H at the Bernabeu. Gareth Bale’s cross found Ronaldo in the 12th minute, and the Portuguese slotted home from the right side of the box. APOEL’s Roberto Lago handled the ball in his box early inside the second half, allowing Ronaldo to add another from the spot for his 107th in European football. He has now scored in Real Madrid’s opening Champions League game for six years in succession. Zinedine Zidane’s side were not finished there, as shortly after Sergio Ramos added a third with a bicycle kick. Elsewhere, Spartak Moscow face being punished by UEFA after one of their supporters launched a firecracker which flew into the centre circle and almost hit the referee during their 1-1 draw against Maribor. The match — in Liverpool’s Group E — was briefly suspended. Before the game fans clashed with each other and police.
