Dame in da house! Judi, 82, learns to rap
ONE is an 82-year-old Oscarwinning actress and national treasure. The other is a rapper known for gritty lyrics.
Despite their differences, Dame Judi Dench and Lethal Bizzle teamed up to rerecord some of the London artist’s most famous songs.
The unlikely duo got together after Dame Judi discovered that Bizzle coined ‘dench’ as a slang word meaning ‘nice’ or ‘brilliant’ in 2010. Bizzle, 32, is seen teaching Dame Judi the lyrics to his songs in the three-minute video, filmed for the website Ladbible.
Bizzle taught her a remixed version of his hit Pow with the words: ‘Pow, yeah I’m Ju-to-the-di. Pow, if you don’t know about me, better ask someone quickly.’
Laughing with her teacher, she exclaimed: ‘I love it!’
