Beware slipping through the net

-

I didn’t see it coming No I didn’t. Not at all. Everything was normal At the time before the fall. I was sitting typing, I was surfing on the net. Did it take me by surprise? Oh yes it did. You bet! There was a flash of white light Then a gaping hole appeared. And I began to tumble, I was going to die, I feared. Instead, when I had landed Safe and sound, yet quite upset, I looked to see I’d fallen Right into the internet. Around me information Flowed at most impressive speeds, Some music and some movies Went past at the speed of light. They were being downloaded For an entertaining night. And then there was the chatter. Oh my, that just had no end. So very many people in e-contact with a friend. It was so confusing, I was longing to be free. I saw a gap and reached out And I hit my escape key. So I am here to tell you That the net is great and all. But really, it’s not somewhere That you’re going to want to fall.
