Boxed in

I SYMPATHISE with the readers who have ugly Virgin Media and BT boxes in front of their homes (Letters). A BT Openreach box was installed where our builders had planned to create a dropped kerb so that we could park on our drive.

We have been left with a difficult and dangerous dogleg as a poor compromise.

DAVID BECK, Waterlooville, Hants. THE Virgin Media box outside my home is not only unsightly, but very dangerous. It was damaged over a year ago and the only action taken since has been to place a plastic barrier alongside it.

Who would be liable if a child cut their leg on the metal: the council or Virgin Media? MARK HEWSON,
