Boris is no fool

-

IT APPEARS that Boris Johnson is right that Theresa May’s intentions are for a soft Brexit. For all his bluff and bluster, he is no fool. What has happened to Mrs May’s pledge that no deal is better than a bad deal? I’m with James Dyson: we can leave without a deal, and paying £30 billion to get a trade deal is a bad deal. Mrs M. KILCOMMONS,

Rotherham, S. Yorks. I MUST praise Boris Johnson, who is the only MP with the integrity and vision to speak up for Britain. If we follow his lead we will once again be Great Britain. The minnows who denigrate him do this county no favours. Boris has shown the way, so let us follow with conviction.

K. MAGEE, Littlehampton, W. Sussex. SURELY the time has come for the political demise of Boris Johnson. He is making us a laughing stock around the world. His stylised language sounds superior, but there is no substance worth listening to.

Dangerously, however, just to satisfy his own lust for power, his actions could open the door for Jeremy Corbyn to become our next prime minister.

Let us encourage Boris to cycle off into the distance. We deserve a leader, not a plonker.

ANTHONY WEAVER, Sutton Coldfield, W. Mids.
