A diary item on July 1 about dusty Springfield said that forthcoming West End musical dusty would suggest that Sir Elton John’s decision to replace Ms Springfield with Kiki dee on his single don’t GoBreak- ing My Heart contributed to her subsequent downward spiral. We now understand that the musical will make no such suggestion and that the allegation is untrue. We are happy to set the record straight.
