Bosses at MJ Gleeson have scooped more than £3m in dividend payments after Help to Buy spurred record sales of the constructor’s new homes.

Two-thirds of the 1,013 new homes it sold in the 12 months to the end of June – up 12pc on the previous year and over the 1,000 mark for the first time – were through the Government scheme.
