Harvey Nichols makeover

-

HARVEY Nichols’s boss will be stepping down at the end of the year to serve part-time as deputy chairman of the department store group.

Stacey Cartwright, chief executive, will take up the role in order to free-up time to pursue other directorships and personal interests.

As deputy chairman, Cartwright ( pictured) will retain her oversight of Harvey Nichols under the leadership of the store’s two new co-chief operating officers Daniela Rinaldi and Manju Malhotra.

Before joining Harvey Nichols, Cartwright had been chief financial officer of fashion group Burberry. She is considered to have revamped Harvey Nichols by bringing the retailer into the digital age and launching improved menswear lines.

Rinaldi and Malhotra will be responsible for running the day-today business.

Rinaldi is currently group commercial director while Malhotra serves as group finance director.

They will report to Cartwright as well as Harvey Nichols chairman and owner Sir Dickson Poon. Harvey Nichols, which was founded in 1831, said it will not be recruiting a new chief executive. Cartwright said: ‘Daniela and Manju each bring a wealth of experience to their new roles, with highly complementary skill sets. ‘I’m delighted to be announcing their promotions and I look forward to working alongside them.’
