THEY were two of their countries’ greatest sex symbols, but Kate Moss and Catherine Deneuve faded into the background at Paris Fashion Week yesterday.

Croydon-born Moss, 43, who shot to fame as part of the ‘heroin chic’ trend for skinny models, looked a more regular shape at the Saint Laurent show.

Wearing a leopard-print mini dress beneath a blazer, the veteran model bore a passing resemblance to the late Pat Butcher from EastEnders. Meanwhile, Deneuve, 73, seemed to be channelling her inner Del Boy Trotter in a thick sheepskin coat.

The pair are used to turning heads, but one fashion watcher tells me: ‘I had to double check it was really them.’
