TRAVEL food chain SSP looked healthy after revealing a jump in customers at its airport restaurant­s.

The owner of Upper Crust, Ritazza and James Martin Kitchen said like-for-like revenues over the three months ending on September 30 are expected to rise by 14.8pc.

Despite flat performanc­e at its train restaurant­s, SSP now expects full-year results to be ahead of expectatio­ns, with group revenues rising by 11.4pc. Shares jumped 5.7pc, or 28.5p, to 529p.
