JOHNSTON CAN SEE THE ATTRACTION OF ELARQAM

TRAINER Mark Johnston described Elarqam as the ‘spitting image’ of his brilliant dam Attraction after victory by two-and-three-quarter lengths in the Group Three Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket yesterday. The son of Frankel is 20-1 for next season’s 2,000 Guineas with Sky Bet after showing he had fighting spirit to go with the blue-blooded pedigree which saw him cost £1.68million at Tattersalls sales in 2016. Attraction, also trained by Johnston, won the English and Irish 1,000 Guineas in 2004.
