Boy of 15 is stabbed at mosque
A BOY of 15 had his throat slashed and was stabbed nine times in the head and neck in a horrific attack outside a mosque.
Syed Hassan Abbas was in an induced coma yesterday after the 1am assault on Saturday.
The teenager, who had celebrated his birthday two days earlier, had gone to the Idara Maarife-Islam-Hussainia mosque in Small Heath, Birmingham, with his father to collect his older brother Syed Nedhi Abbas.
The schoolboy victim, of Kings Heath, remained in a critical condition at Birmingham Children’s Hospital yesterday.
Unemployed Dominic Palmer, 29, of Small Heath, was in custody last night and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today after being charged with attempted murder.
