Muslim Earl’s son to wed erotic jeweller

THE colourful family life of the Earl of Yarborough, a Muslim convert known as Abd al-Mateen, is about to take another exotic turn. I can reveal that his son, William Pelham, is to marry an erotic jewellery designer with an Islamic background.

Will’s new fiancee, Anissa Kermiche, 31, (pictured together left) is a French-Algerian whose collection of saucy trinkets includes a £390 necklace featuring a woman’s breasts adorned with ruby nipples, and a pair of pearl ‘menage a trois’ earrings sold individually at £422 each.

‘I come from a Muslim background where naked body parts aren’t acceptable at all,’ Anissa has explained. ‘ My upbringing was very strict: I had to dress a specific way and I wasn’t allowed out much . . .

‘This is my rebellion against all that — creating work that is provocative and feminine.’

William, 26, whose father’s estimated £ 68 million fortune includes 27,500- acre Brocklesby Park in Lincolnshire, established the Soho Revue art gallery with his exgirlfriend, the heiress India Rose James, granddaughter of porn baron and property tycoon Paul Raymond.
