COLLINS FLYING INTO ENGLAND RECKONING
TOM COLLINS scored another scorching try for resurgent, table-topping Northampton on Saturday, leaving England wing Marland Yarde in his wake in the process. The home-town rookie has been galvanised by a summer stint at Eddie Jones’s former club in Sydney. After helping the Saints claim a fourth consecutive win, Collins, 23, said: ‘I went to Randwick with one of my good mates, Tom Stephenson. It was good to get away, play some rugby, get some games under my belt and grow some confidence. You go over there and refresh your mind, have some fun and learn a lot alongside it.’ Recent evidence suggests he learned plenty. If he maintains this electric form, he should soon become a contender for a Test call-up.
