I thought you knew how to herd sheep!

WE all know that feeling when work simply overwhelms us. Izzy the sheepdog certainly does.

Given the task of marshalling her flock, the hapless black kelpie failed to take control of the situation – and wound up being squished by the animals she was meant to be directing. According to her owner, farmer Charlie Mackinnon, Izzy is usually reliable but on this occasion she slipped and got ‘slightly wedged’ while trying to direct some ewes. ‘Izzy just sat there looking at me, so I whipped out my phone and took this shot,’ said Mr Mackinnon, who manages around 4,500 sheep on his family farm in northern Tasmania.
