THE billionaire who co- founded Hargreaves Lansdown, Britain’s largest trading website, has sold £190m of shares after a year in which the stock has come close to record highs.

Stephen Lansdown, 65, flogged 17.3m shares, and now holds 12.3pc of the firm worth more than £863m.

The married father of two, a sports fanatic, owns Bristol’s football and rugby teams, and has not been involved in HL since 2012.
