BALE’S BACK TO BOOST WALES

GARETH BALE has given Wales a boost with the news he will be fit for Friday’s World Cup qualifier in Georgia. Bale, 28, missed Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Espanyol on Sunday but joined up with Chris Coleman’s squad as scheduled yesterday. He only had a light training session as precaution. Coleman is confident Bale will start after Real boss Zinedine Zidane played down injury concerns. Wales are second, four points behind Group D leaders Serbia, and must win their last two games — they host the Republic of Ireland on Monday — to stand a chance of reaching Russia.
