Bank offers £200 to join

-

BANKS are paying customers up to £200 to switch to a new current account.

Halifax is now offering a £125 bonus to customers who move to one of its Reward Current Accounts by November 14.

The account also pays £3 a month, so long as customers pay in at least £750 and set up two direct debits.

Together with the switching bonus, this means you could earn £161 in the first year.

HSBC pays £150 to customers who switch to its Advance current account, but you’ll need to pay in at least £1,750 a month to qualify.

If you stay in the account for a year, you’ll get an extra £50 — so £200 in total.

First Direct has also increased its switching bonus from £100 to £ 125 for customers who switch to its 1st Account via MoneySuperMarket. Co- op Bank and M&S also offer £125 bonuses on certain conditions.
