Van Dijk hopeful of quitting Southampton in January
VIRGIL VAN DIJK will look for a move away from Southampton in January after revealing he has ‘no regrets’ over his summer transfer saga. Liverpool led the chase of the £60million-rated defender but his club refused to sell. Van Dijk, speaking after joining up with Holland, said: ‘I have no regrets. Of course, I wanted to go one step up, but Southampton did not want to let me go. So, as a professional, I’ll give everything for the club. But halfway through the season, maybe we can see what’s possible.’
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has been warned not to rush his Manchester United return by the surgeon who operated on his knee in May.
