Charlotte skips the church for a woodland wedding
A FEW months ago they revealed they were grieving the loss of their unborn child.
Yesterday, however, Charlotte Church and her long-term boyfriend Jonathan Powell were able to describe themselves as ‘seriously happy people’ as they revealed they had secretly wed.
The couple married at a register office in Cardiff last month before having a blessing ceremony under a tree decorated with brightly-coloured flowers at their £1.5million home.
Welsh singer Miss Church, 1, yesterday tweeted a photo taken by her cousin Elliot Cooper of the pair holding hands at the ceremony.
She wore an off-the-shoulder gown with a floral crown and her musician husband, 0, was in an outlandish suit with a pattern that would not have looked out of place on a Moroccan carpet.
A source close to the couple said: ‘Charlotte and Jonathan wanted to keep things low key and swore all the guests to secrecy.’
Miss Church – worth a reported £9million – began dating Mr Powell in 2010 after splitting from then fiance rugby star Gavin Henson.
She has two children with Henson, Ruby, ten, and Dexter, eight.
