HOODIES and T-shirts joking about eating disorders, mental health issues and date rape have been on sale on Amazon.

A £11.99 hoodie billed as being ‘for kids’ is available from the British arm of the site emblazoned with: ‘I beat Anorexia’.

A T-shirt reads: ‘Are you mental?’ and another said: ‘I must have penile dementia. I can’t remember where I put my d*** last night’. A £32.99 hoodie had ‘Bipolar’ across the chest with ‘smiley’ and ‘unsmiley’ motifs.

Actress Denise Welch, who has produced a film called Black Eyed Susan chronicling depression, slammed items which ‘allow people to laugh at those with mental illness’. Last night Amazon said it had taken the date rape and ‘bipolar’ items off sale after the Mail’s inquiries.
