Mick’s chuffed I told of fling, says writer he seduced at 17
SIr mick Jagger clearly relishes his reputation as a modern-day Casanova.
historian Lady antonia Fraser’s daughter natasha reveals he was, in fact, more than happy for his conquest of her to be laid bare in her new memoir, after andy: adventures In Warhol Land.
‘mick and I are still very close. I told him about the book before I started writing it, and he was great about it,’ she tells me at the launch of her tome at private members’ club Loulou’s in mayfair.
‘Then I saw him recently because he came to my brother orlando’s 50th birthday [in may], and I said: “I’ve written about you in glowing terms.” and he said, “I like to be written about glowingly,” which is very nice. I sent him a signed copy.’
Earlier this year, I disclosed that natasha, the 53-year-old convent-educated daughter of the late Tory mp sir hugh Fraser and granddaughter of the 7th Earl of Longford, was seduced by the rolling stone singer when she was just 17 and he — freshly divorced from Bianca Jagger — was 37.
They met on film producer sam spiegel’s boat in the south of France. mick was with girlfriend Texan bombshell Jerry hall, who complimented natasha on her looks and said she should be photographed by Terence Donovan or David Bailey.
mick, now 74 and dating 30-yearold ballerina mel hamrick, gallantly remarked: ‘Well, her t**s are big enough.’ They met up a few weeks later in London and their first date was at a stevie Wonder concert, after which they went to Tramp nightclub and on to his rented flat.
she said she wouldn’t sleep with him, but ‘ within minutes, he was helping me to brush my teeth, and when the lights went out, my cotton sweater, cheap skirt and everything else were swiftly whipped off’.
natasha, who now lives in paris with her husband, Franco-Italian property agent Jean-pierre Cavassoni, asssures me she still holds the utmost respect for him.
‘mick is someone who I’m very, very fond of,’ she adds. ‘and he looks amazing! he’s still touring — that’s the story. he must have a secret. probably having a father who was a pE teacher. he’s just naturally fit.’
