IT was great to see a mention for ex-wales striker Ron Davies in Martin samuel’s column ( sportsmail). He highlights Davies’s record of 26 goals between January and september 1967, which is now under threat by Harry Kane.

Ron Davies was one of three top strikers we were lucky to have in wales at the time, with wyn Davies and John Toshack completing the trio.
