SKY WANT UNITED ON XMAS EVE

- By JACK GAUGHAN

MANCHESTER UNITED and Leicester City are being asked to switch their game to Christmas Eve as the festive schedule confusion continues. Jose Mourinho’s side are meant to travel to the King Power on Saturday December 23, but Sky want to push it back. That comes after fan fury over the potential for Arsenal to host Liverpool in a lunchtime kick-off on Christmas Eve. Sky are expected to announce the fixtures next week with West Ham against Newcastle also mooted for December 24. United are not keen on the switch, and Leicester have an agreement which states they cannot play on the same day as the city’s rugby union side, Leicester Tigers, who face Saracens on Christmas Eve.
