Home-working pays
regArdINg the effectiveness of people working at home (Mail), as human resources executive for a large company, I encouraged this some 20 years ago.
At the time, we did have a number of managers who were only happy when they could supervise people in the office.
however, we promoted a policy where employees were judged by what they achieved. It was not surprising that when I worked out the cost of an employee desk per annum, the Ceo became more interested in the project.
Working from home can achieve a great deal. keN SMith, crakehall, North Yorkshire.
