The Crown’s Claire gives fans an earful

HAVING won several awards for her portrayal of the Queen, Claire Foy risked giving fans of the Netflix series The Crown a shock when she attended an event this week. Promoting her new film, Breathe, in New York, the 33year-old took a dramatic departure from her royal alter-ego by sporting what appeared to be several diamond studs in her ears. It was, in fact, a single accessory. HM, who tends to prefer classic pearl earrings, wouldn’t be too fazed: her granddaughter Zara Phillips once wore a tongue stud.
