Hart NEVER makes mistakes and is still No 1, claims Bilic

- By KIERAN GILL

SLAVEN BILIC can’t fathom why English fans do not value Joe Hart and dared his keeper’s critics to name a mistake he has made for the national team. Hart started his West Ham career by shipping 10 goals in three games, but the 30-year-old has now kept four clean sheets in his last five outings for club and country. Bilic thinks England’s No 1 has become an ‘easy target’ for those too lazy to realise how good he is, with Hart set to start against Burnley tomorrow. ‘You don’t appreciate him,’ Bilic said of his Manchester City loanee. ‘I watched the game against Slovenia and he was man of the match. ‘You didn’t have that feeling from the the commentator saying it was a penalty (when Hart clipped Josip Ilicic) — it wasn’t a penalty. If it was anyone else keeping in that situation, nobody would say it was a penalty. ‘When did he make a mistake? Tell me the game for England. Don’t go back to Torino and say he conceded a goal against Chievo last season. When did he make a mistake for England? ‘Scotland — those free-kicks? I’m saying no. Joe Hart is a great professional and the long-term No 1 goalkeeper for England.’ Hart’s loan deal expires at the end of the season but West Ham are expected to try to keep him.
