Goldsmith gets on so well with ex she nannies for his new wife
FINANCIER Ben Goldsmith, whose first wife Kate Rothschild cheated on him with American rapper Jay Electronica, reveals the family has finally healed its wounds.
He says the 35-yearold banking heiress — mother to three of his children (pictured with him, below right) — gets on so well with his second wife, Jemima Jones (above), that she has become their babysitter. ‘Kate and Jemima are friends, which is a great joy and blessing for me. Kate actually looks after Eliza,’ the son of late billionaire Sir James Goldsmith tells me. Eliza is his 15-month-old daughter by Jemima.
‘ It has happened several times that the baby’s been dropped off with Kate and the baby loves Kate. We have a live-in nanny during the week, but not at weekends.’ Ben, 36, became a father for the fifth time last month when Jemima, 30, gave birth to their son, Arlo.
‘If you told me at 21 that I’d have five kids by the age of 36 I would have said you are f***ing mad,’ adds Ben, younger brother of Tory MP Zac and socialite Jemima, at his Aeolian Islands Preservation Fund gala sponsored by Chelsea restaurant Ritorno.
