25-YEAR-OLD ‘TO FLOAT’ FASHION HOUSE THAT IS LOVED BY BEYONCE

-

A BOOMING British fashion brand loved by Beyonce and Kim Kardashian is considering a stock market float.

House Of CB, known for its form-fitting party dresses, could soon be following in the footsteps of its fast-fashion rivals Boohoo and Quiz.

The brand is the brainchild of 25-year-old Conna Walker ( pictured), who started selling clothes on eBay at the age of 17. Accompanying her parents on a business trip to China in 2010, Walker, who has had no formal fashion training, borrowed £3,000 from her father to spend on dresses she thought would sell well in the UK. She later began designing her own clothes and started selling them online.

Initially trading under the name Celeb Boutique, the business has grown into a fashion behemoth in the UK and US.

It made £9m in profit this year and has over 1,000 individual pieces on its website.

The company has four stores in the UK, two in the US and about 50 concessions in Topshop.

Walker said the firm is not opposed to following in the footsteps of Boohoo and Quiz, which have both floated on the London Stock Exchange.

She said: ‘I’m not against it for sure... it’s definitely something I’m open to.’
