Dunelm chief’s pay cut

HOME furnisher Dunelm’s recently departed boss had his pay cut this year.

John Browett, 53, who was dropped as chief executive in August after two years, got £722,000 in the year to July 1, compared to £982,000 the year before – a cut largely due to a 75pc bonus deduction. He did not get any long-term rewards after the firm underperformed in the year.
