BRIBES SHADOW OVER PSG CHIEF

-

NASSER AL-KHELAIFI’S status as president of Paris SaintGermain was what caught the eye but those who keep tabs on the FIFA corruption story were more excited that the attention is moving once again to the sale of broadcast rights. Al-Khelaifi (right) is now under criminal investigation due to his role as chief executive of Qatari broadcaster beIN Sports. It is claimed he bribed former FIFA executive Jerome Valcke. Both men deny this. Broadcast rights are where the real money is at a World Cup. Some figures quoted in previous corruption investigations are loose change by comparison. Football’s biggest crooks would not get out of bed for the odd million dollars. There has to be more. Much more. The feeling is, keep tugging at this thread and eventually all will be revealed.
