South Africa errors
BOSSES at McKinsey have apologised after the consultancy was caught up in a political scandal gripping South africa.
The firm has been under fire over work it did for associates of the billionaire Gupta family, which is accused of corruption due to links with President Jacob Zuma. McKinsey said it had found no evidence of bribery or corruption in its work but admitted it became involved with Gupta-supported firm Trillian Capital without doing appropriate checks.
McKinsey decided against a partnership with Trillian, and said it never had a formal contract with the firm.
