Grandparent visits that are years apart

-

MORE than a quarter of people have not seen their grandparents in over two years, a survey has revealed.

And as many as one million British grandparents have lost contact with their grandchildren altogether, while those who remain in touch receive an average of just three phone calls a year.

While many people have hundreds of online ‘friends’, of about 1,500 surveyed by Nescafe, some 16 per cent had not seen their best friend in more than a year while 40 per cent admitted not visiting their sibling in 18 months, blaming hectic lifestyles.
