DON’T WORRY, THE OTHER BRITISH GIRLS ARE FLYING!

-

NAOMI BROADY saved two match points and won 10 of the last 13 games to beat Sabine Lisicki at the Luxembourg Open. Broady looked to be heading out when she was a set and 3-5 down in their second-round tie, but she dug deep to hold and then broke Lisicki’s serve twice. Broady extended her run of games to seven to lead 3-0 in the decider. Broady went on to win 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 to reach her first WTA Tour quarter-final since February 2016 and she will now face Monica Puig. This is the best week for the British women since Wimbledon, with Heather Watson also through to the last eight.
