will spearhead Great Britain’s swimming team at December’s European Short Course Championsh­ips in Copenhagen, where the Olympic champion will be seeking further world records. The 22-year-old already holds long-course world records for 50metres (25.95 sec) and 100m (57.13sec) but is determined to try to beat the short-course records set by South Africa’s Cameron van der Burgh in 2009 of 25.25sec for 50m and 55.61sec for 100m. In the summer Peaty said: ‘The short-course world records, I want to keep my eye on those. ‘I can definitely take (the times) down. It’s just when and where.’
