HaS Prince William’s TV chum, Tom Bradby, peaked at ITn? He was greeted with media trumpets when he elbowed aside rivals as sole presenter of news at Ten in May 2015. Two years earlier, he’d been given a weekly discussion slot, The agenda. now ITV sources say it won’t be re-commissioned. affable Bradby will continue to prosper, I am sure. Might he become King William’s media spokesman one day?

WRITER Emily Bearn, 42, pictured, who enjoyed romances with prisoner-of-war Michael Alexander, painter Lucian Freud and editor- abouttown Alexander Chancellor – all much older, all dead now – is expecting a child, say friends. She has a daughter, Freya, 13, by Chancellor, who died this year aged 77. Sadly she is no longer welcomed at the Northants mansion she and Freya shared with him. It’s now under the control of his long-estranged wife, Susie. Who, incidentally, also had a long affair with Freud, who died aged 88 in 2011, for whom she posed nude.

LaBOUR’S shadow Brexit secretary Sir Keir Starmer, 55, tells Radio 4 listeners there is no prospect of progress on Britain’s post-Brexit commitments to the EU. The BBC’s Europe Editor, Brusselsbased Katya adler, 45, who was taking part in the discussion, comments: ‘I agree with Keir Starmer…’ Ms adler’s contribution was otherwise unremarkable but is it a wonder Leave supporters think the BBC is in the EU’s pocket?

SIR Tom Jones, 77, complains on Radio 5 about being targeted by a male ‘sex pest’ music industry chief in his youth. The crooner is reported to have bedded ‘250 women a year’ in his prime. He is said to have had two dressing rooms on tour – a real one, and another known as ‘the workbench’ for romping with young admirers. Thank goodness the hanky panky was fully consensual.

SaUCY writer Kathy Lette, 58, busy planning her Halloween costume, says Harvey Weinstein masks will be all the rage on October 31. ‘I think this year we’ll have to rename it Halloweenstein.’

BOASTING that he’s met presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, Financial Times editor Lionel Barber says the former has watery eyes – ‘like a shark’s, they don’t really move’ – while Trump is ‘very selfconscious’, asking him if he’d been in the Oval Office before. The editor replied that he was there almost 20 years ago with President George W Bush. ‘He looked rather disappointed,’ says Lionel.

MODEL and former French first lady Carla Bruni, referring to Harvey Weinstein, says: ‘That doesn’t happen in fashion. I never had a photographer or designer do that, never ever… Maybe I’m wrong.’ Model Cara Delevingne disagrees, saying: ‘There are male photographers who go into it purely because of the girls. It’s horrible, it’s disgusting.’ Is it a generational thing?
