Zeta-Jones’s startling new look
IT’S been around 20 years since she left her Welsh homeland as a freshfaced starlet and headed for the bright lights of Hollywood.
But judging from her astonishingly smooth complexion at a football awards ceremony in London last night, Catherine Zeta-Jones is doing her best to make time stand still.
The star, 48, barely had a line on her face as she stepped out in a velvety silver-green dress, which showed off her toned figure, with lace detailing across her upper body.
Miss Zeta-Jones, who won fame in TV series The Darling Buds Of May in the early 1990s, completed her look with wavy hair and nude strappy heels. She revealed she has never left her hometown football club behind. And as a Swansea City fan she has even got her husband on board.
The actress, who was in Britain to present trophies at the Best Fifa Football Awards, said: ‘My husband Michael Douglas is a Swansea City fan.’ At last night’s event she presented the award for goal of the season to Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud.
The rest of Miss Zeta-Jones’s family were back home in the US, where Douglas, 73, son Dylan, 17, and daughter Carys, 14, spent Sunday watching the F1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
