Harvey Weinstein while promoting her new film directed by Woody Allen — who was accused of abusing his child — is proving awkward for Kate Winslet. The actress didn’t turn up to the afterparty of Wonder Wheel following its premiere in New York. ‘Kate didn’t want anyone asking her about Allen and Weinstein, so celebrated with friends,’ claims my mole. After Weinstein was exposed, Winslet called his behaviour ‘shocking’, but she has sung the praises of Allen, who also married his partner Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter, and Roman Polanski, a child rapist. Winslet’s spokesman declines to comment, but a friend insists: ‘She was always going to celebrate privately.’
