X-Files star Gillian Anderson has been tipped to replace Claire Foy as the Queen in the next series of hit Netflix drama The Crown, which is written by her boyfriend, Peter Morgan. Now Morgan tells me: ‘We worked together on [2006 film] The Last King Of Scotland, but at the time we were both married and that was a lifetime ago. I would work with her again.’ The screenwriter, 54, who has been courting Anderson, 49, since last year, insists: ‘I’ve no idea who we’ll cast in the third series.’
