Fight the EU bullies

WHERE is the fighting spirit of the British people? In times of crises we once were as one.

We have had a democratic vote and decided by a majority to leave the EU, an organisation that is treating us as its piggy bank.

It is not interested in the British people or it would be only too pleased to continue trading with us.

If we were to tell Europe we would no longer buy their cars or wine, it would soon focus their minds. So let us come together and show Europe our true grit.

PHILLIP E. SILLICK, Swansea. I VOTED Remain in the referendum, but what a misjudgment that turned out to be. I am aghast that Euro politicians are trying to squeeze the pips out of us financially while refusing to discuss trade and business deals.

They are muttering about imposing trade tariffs on us if we don’t agree to hand over the money that will enable them to continue their overindulgent lifestyle. It’s time to stop this nonsense and get down to proper negotiations. COLIN WILLIAMS-LOCK,
