Northern lights

I DON’T know anyone who agrees with HS2, and as for the talk of a ‘Northern powerhouse’, it’s just patronising hype (Letters).

I am sick of hearing about how poor and deprived we all are ‘oop North’.

Having travelled extensively round the country, I know there are deprived areas everywhere in the UK, even ‘dahn saarf’.

The Government should give tax concessions to encourage companies to move out of London to all areas of the UK so everyone has the chance of work and affordable housing. MICHELLE RICHARDSON,
