Army’s drug surrender

AS A former soldier, I am appalled the British Army has decided it will no longer sack recruits who are found to be drug users (Mail).

Low pay, poor equipment, rock bottom morale and increasing civilianisation are destroying the Armed Forces. The ‘ Military Covenant’ is a soundbite for politicians who put personnel in dangerous situations.

The protection of the British people is the Government’s primary duty, but this is being neglected.
