David Roberts, 55 Chairman, Beazley

DAVID Roberts has been named chairman of the Lloyd’s of London insurer Beazley.

He is currently chairman of Nationwide Building Society and has served in several senior positions in banking and finance, including at Lloyds and Barclays banks.

He also ran BAWAG PSK Gruppe, Austria’s second-biggest retail bank, from 2007 to 2009. Roberts will take up his role at Beazley at its annual general meeting in March, succeeding Dennis Holt, who has been in the post for six years.
