Mum’s the word

IT IS women who give birth. The two transgender people who gave birth halted their transition to have a baby.

Why do we have to refer to ‘pregnant people’ in a bid to be politically correct? It only makes us look foolish.

While I have every sympathy for anyone who feels trapped in the wrong body, they can’t have it both ways. If they are pregnant, they are female. PATRICIA ATKINSON,
